Quick computer tips
There are a lot of quick tips that will help you with your computer. You might already know some of them but others may be new.

I'll start with the one you probably already know; Cut (Ctrl + X), Copy (Ctrl + C) & Paste (Ctrl + V).

Another one you'll probably know, press the Print Screen button which will take a snapsnot of your screen that you can paste as an image into Word, Paint, etc. But don't forget to move your mouse pointer out of the way!

To cycle through all of your running programs, press Alt + Tab.

To close down a program, press Alt + F4

Most programs will accept Ctrl + A as a Select All. This also works in Windows directories.

Following on from the previous point, to close documents within Word, Excel, etc and tabs within a web browser, press Ctrl + F4.

In many programs, including all Microsoft Office programs, will allow you to change text to bold (Ctrl + B), italic (Ctrl + I) and underline (Ctrl + U).

Pressing F1 will usually launch a program's help feature.

Pressing Ctrl + Z will usually perform an Undo operation within programs.

The Run Program dialogue box can be accessed by pressing the Windows key (ÿ) + R.

To lock your computer, instead of having to press Ctrl + Alt + Del then clicking on the correct button, you can press the Windows key (ÿ) + L.
