Teacher/Trainer
I have worked in a primary school environment for over 5 years and believe that having a technician on site who is responsible for the computer systems is fast becoming a necessity with the ever-increasing amount of technology in school. However, unless we are looking at a very large primary school, there is not going to be enough work to employ a technician full-time. There are two ways around this:
This second option is the one that I think is the most viable. After getting some experience working with children, I became a Higher Level Teaching Assistant which allows me to teach children in school. Since gaining this qualification (although, strictly, it's a status) I have been able to run whole class sessions teaching computer skills which have been very well received. To go with this, there a few tutorials above for Windows Movie Maker that may teach you some new skills. These are designed for people who have been to my workshop or already know their way around Windows Movie Maker.
I have a rule of thumb. As soon as a school has around 100 computers then it's time to start looking at getting a technician.
